ACADEMIC POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR GRADUATE PROGRAMS
These Policies apply to all students enrolled in any University graduate programs except the Nazarbayev University Zero year program, Doctor of Medicine and Residency programs in the School of Medicine. In case of conflicts, the provisions of these Policies take precedence over previous rules. Program requirements may be more stringent than as described in this document. Such requirements must be indicated in the approved School/Program handbook.
GRADUATION POLICY
This document contains graduation policy and procedures for Nazarbayev University Schools’ undergraduate and graduate programs. These policy and procedures apply to all undergraduate and graduate students of the University Schools.
The President of the University appoints and oversights the Graduation Ceremony at the University. The President sets forward the Graduation Working Group to provide support for the event.

REGULATIONS ON LEAVE OF ABSENCE, DISMISSAL AND VOLUNTARY WITHDRAWAL
These Regulations on Leave of Absence, Dismissal and Voluntary Withdrawal for students of the autonomous organization of education Nazarbayev University shall apply to all student population of the autonomous organization of education Nazarbayev University, except for the Residency program.
For the purpose of these Regulations, the General Director of the Center for Preparatory Studies is equal to a Dean of the School.
All approvals and decisions (basic type of the Internal administrative documents) for leave of absence, dismissal and voluntary withdrawal shall be processed via Electronic Documentation Management System.
Communication with student will be done by the corporate University email address of the student or personal email address indicated in the student’sdatabase record of student information system

POLICY ON RE-ADMISSION OF FORMER GRADUATE STUDENTS OF NU
These Policy and Procedures on re-admission of former Graduate students of the autonomous organization of education Nazarbayev University (NU) apply to former master's and PhD students' population of NU.
Re-admission is the process for those former students, who were previously enrolled as graduate students at the University, completed at least one semester of the graduate program at the University and were dismissed or withdrew by their own decision without completing the program, and would like to return to pursue a graduate degree on a fee-paying basis.
